BMH Living is an on-line retailer which offers a comprehensive range of furniture and accessories to furnish every room in the modern day home.

Our aim is to sell high-quality furniture and accessories, as well as offering personal, reliable customer service to our customers.

Founded in 2009, owners, Michael Houghton and Brendan Murphy and their committed staff, are excited and passionate about providing customers a full-service furniture company packed with quality products and customer convenience.

How did you find out about Tiger Commerce?

After a mixed experience of trading on-line several years ago with a previous business where growth was hampered by restrictions of the 'off the shelf' e-commerce package that was fundamentally flawed and a provider who wanted to charge unreasonable amounts for every possible request to modify and correct the software, we knew the correct solution this time around was essential to the success of the company.

The selection process began with the usual Google search and a short list of 10 possible partners drafted. The Tiger e-commerce package caught our eye instantly and was always a front runner during the decision making process. We opened dialog with 5 of the short listed companies whilst we researched the reputations, reviews etc. in the background. Eventually after a couple of days we kicked off 3 simultaneous trials, however, by the end of day 1 Tiger was a clear winner for us and on the second day we stopped the trial and converted to paying clients.

What made you choose Tiger Commerce over other ecommerce providers?

From the off the software was very well laid out, simple to navigate and easy to use, the customer service was 1st class, helpful and knowledgeable without the hard sell at every opportunity. We found the features available to be the complete package with no 'would like to haves' on the list, this includes features such as the Google Tools suite allowing simple, seamless integration with all the Google webmaster tools, the extensive list of payment gateway providers that could easily be integrated by a novice. The CSV up and download capabilities, the reporting tools and the back end customer / order management Tiger soon had all the boxes ticked.

How have you found Tiger Commerce?

With our previous business it took almost 6 months to get up to 500 products listed on the site. To cut a long story short BMH Living registered with Companies House on the 18th of June 2009, still a concept in our heads... The website was hosted, designed, 558 products loaded, payment gateway live and our first order taken by the 28th of July. An achievement in itself and testament to the hard work and commitment people can expect from BMH but this would never have been imaginable without the top class support and superb software from Tiger. We still sit back every now and again and smugly agree we found an absolute gem when we found Tiger Commerce.

How have you found the support?

As I mentioned earlier, customer service has been first class from the off and has not faltered along the way. After having had our logo and branding designed we approached Tiger to discuss one of their design packages to ensure our branding was not diluted in any way and the BMH experience caught potential customers attention, image was key. After initial consultation with the sales team and our project manager we opted for the Silver Design Package.

The whole project took less than two weeks from placing the order, design consultation, a few minor tweaks and integration in to the website. Again we can sit back in the knowledge that was one of the decisions we made early on that was the right one and key to a successful launch and the first step to BMH being a recognised brand.

Since going live back in July, we have discovered one or two minor elements that required fixing or just massaging to improve customer experience or backend features, Tiger have responded to these promptly and professionally and have also released a major milestone update in the short time we have been on board. Every support call is followed up quickly and always with a favourable outcome and as keen contributors to the Tiger forum have witnessed other user's suggestions and queries being answered in exactly the same manor.

The help files, forum, tutorials, blog and regular newsletters all contribute to a comprehensive, well received support package that continually exceeds our expectations.

What customer feedback have you received from your shop?

The site has been really well received from the off by all, we have not only had positive feed back on the website from friends family and colleagues in the early days of testing and home made focus groups but customers have also commented on the site for the look and feel and not just the products on offer. BMH and others have suggested a cosmetic change regarding the checkout integrations and the presentation of payment options following observations and comments from users, Tiger have already acknowledged this and agreed to amend this in the next update.

Personally I am a strong believer that the Tiger package along with our branding has set us apart and is a positive differentiator for BMH Living from all the other 'Me Too' sites and won us sales over our competition. A belief also shared by the rest of the team.
